HWBOT Returns to Taipei with Extreme OC Workshops, a Social OC Gathering and Competitive Overclocking Contests

May 24th, 2017 – HWBOT, an organization regulating international overclocking competitions and rankings today officially announces activities and events planned for the fourth leg of the HWBOT World Tour 2017. The event takes place in Taipei, Taiwan at Computex 2017, one of the biggest technology trade shows in world.

Highlights of the Taipei – 2017 event include Extreme Overclocking Workshops for attending technology media, a social Overclocking Gathering where overclockers can meet up and enjoy the hobby together, plus the Taipei 2017 World Championship Qualifier contest, hosted in conjunction with the G.SKILL World Cup 2017.

It’s great to be back in Taipei for Computex 2017, arguably the spiritual home of Overclocking in terms of the hardware industry that supports and nurtures it,” commented Pieter-Jan Plaisier, Director at HWBOT. “We are working with partners G.SKILL, Intel, Seasonic, and TechnikPR to make it the most successful Computex ever, putting Overclocking at the center of one of the most important technology events of the year.”

Overclockers Gathering

At the heart of the HWBOT World Tour is the opportunity to help the global overclocking community come together. From May 26th to 28th, the HWBOT World Tour will host an Overclockers Gathering at the Taiwan World Trade Center in Central Taipei. Monitors, peripherals will be provided along with power supplies from HWBOT Tour partner Seasonic. A limited supply of processors, motherboards, memory and other hardware will also be available to use, with food and beverages also provided.

Tickets to the Overclockers Gathering are currently still available:

Taipei World Trade Center, Hall 1, 2nd Floor, Conference Room #2

May Friday 26th – Sunday May 29th

The event will also include an informal Overclockers Dinner on Saturday evening from 9pm.

Extreme Overclocking Workshops

Each workshop session offers around 20-30 mins of cooling with liquid nitrogen to push the latest unlocked Intel ‘Kaby Lake’ architecture processors to 7GHz, or memory overclocking pushing G.SKILL latest DDR4 modules up to 5,000MHz.

The action starts at 10 am at the G.SKILL Booth, Nangang Exhibition Center. A limited number of session slots remain available. Book your workshop session: mdl@technikpr.com
