It’s been a few weeks or so since we enjoyed the first stop of the HWBOT World Tour – a roller coaster week in Las Vegas where HWBOT hosted a Performance Matters Kick Party, OC Workshops for newcomers and of course, the Overclocking World Championship Qualifier contest. The OC – Las Vegas 2017 Qualifier contest saw eight respected and feared overclockers compete using the latest Intel Kaby Lake architecture processors, GIGABYTE Z270 motherboards and a ton on LN2. We are still a quite a few weeks away from the third stop of the HWBOT World Tour 2017 at Gamers Assembly in France. The good news today however, is that attendees who purchase an Early Bird Ticket will be entered in a prize draw to win one of three Seasonic Snow Silent 750 power supplies.
Today we announce the Sao Paulo 2017 Qualifier rules and prizes for the Overclocking World Championship 2017. On February 3, 2017, the qualification tournament kicks off with a three-hour qualifier featuring three benchmarks. The top four overclockers return on February 4, 2017, to fight for a spot in the Final and win the prestigious ticket to the Overclocking World Championship at the end of the year.
The HWBOT World Tour – Sao Paulo 2017 is our second event of the year. Like last year, the Campus Party Sao Paulo is our venue for the only Latin American overclocking event of the year. From January 31 until February 5 you can join some of Brazil’s best overclockers to learn about overclocking and see them in action. The event features an interesting amateur workshop and of course a qualification tournament for the Overclocking World Championship
The dust has settled on the first stop of the HWBOT World Tour 2017 which of course concluded in Las Vegas 2017 just a day or two ago. As well as technology demonstrations and Overclocking Workshops, perhaps the real highlight of the three day event was the Overclocking World Championship Qualifier contest. The HWBOT World Tour 2017 started in fine style this week with the Performance Matters Kick Off Event and Party. The event was hosted by HWBOT, Intel and TechnkPR at The Palms Sky Villa in Las Vegas. Several top name Overclockers from around the world were invited to demonstrate the overclocking potential of the latest Intel processors. With industry partners and media invited to the Performance Matters Kick Off Party, it all proved to be fantastic way to launch Intel’s new Kaby Lake architecture Core processors and the HWBOT World Tour 2017. We are just a few weeks away from the first leg of the HWBOT World Tour 2017, which will take place during the CES 2017 show in Las Vegas. The event will start with a Kick Off event and party on January 4th, followed by two days of Overclocking Workshops and competitive extreme Overclocking in the form of the Overclocking World Championship (OCWC) Qualifier.
As we draw closer to the end of 2016, we look with optimism and hope toward the new year and the prospect of the HWBOT World Tour 2017. The great news we bring you today is word that tickets are now on sale for the West European leg of the tour which will take at Gamers Assembly in Poitiers, France in mid April.
