[Press Release] February 16th, 2017 – HWBOT, an organization regulating international overclocking competitions and rankings, successfully wrapped up HWBOT World Tour 2017 stop at Campus Party Brazil in Sao Paulo, one of the biggest LAN parties in Latin America.
In celebration of the Latin American leg of the HWBOT World Tour 2017 we hosted a very simple Enter, Share and Win giveaway contest on the HWBOT Facebook page. The HWBOT World Tour 2017 enjoyed its second stop just a week or so ago, taking part in the Campus Party event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The centerpiece of every HWBOT World Tour stop is a chance for visitors to witness an Overclocking World Championship Qualifier contest. These are extreme overclocking contests were the region’s top overclocking talent compete head to head for the ultimate prize – a ticket to the OCWC Final at the end of the year. The HWBOT World Tour continued yesterday (or earlier this morning depending on where you live) with the amateur, or ambient stages of the Sao Paulo – 2017 event. The combatants were of course attendees at the Campus Party in Sao Paulo, Brazil. All attendees were invited to learn the basics of system tweaking and then encouraged to try and score as highly as possible in the Intel XTU benchmark. The great news is that this year the team saw a record 151 amateurs make a submission on the OC-ESPORTS platform, beating last years’ figure of 143.
The first few days of the HWBOT World Tour – Sao Paulo 2017 event just got underway, with the HWBOT team hosting Overclocking Workshops for amateurs at the Campus Party. The event was well attended with even more attendees at the show participating that than last year. Today we announce the Sao Paulo 2017 Qualifier rules and prizes for the Overclocking World Championship 2017. On February 3, 2017, the qualification tournament kicks off with a three-hour qualifier featuring three benchmarks. The top four overclockers return on February 4, 2017, to fight for a spot in the Final and win the prestigious ticket to the Overclocking World Championship at the end of the year.
The HWBOT World Tour – Sao Paulo 2017 is our second event of the year. Like last year, the Campus Party Sao Paulo is our venue for the only Latin American overclocking event of the year. From January 31 until February 5 you can join some of Brazil’s best overclockers to learn about overclocking and see them in action. The event features an interesting amateur workshop and of course a qualification tournament for the Overclocking World Championship
In just over a month from now the HWBOT World Tour 2017 team will be heading to Brazil for the Latin American leg of the tour. The event will be held at the Campus Party in Sao Paulo, one of the biggest LAN parties on the continent.
