Just a few days ago the HWBOT World Tour rolled into town in Cape Town for EGE (Electronics & Gamers Expo), one of the biggest tech and gaming events in South Africa. As with all World Tour event the mission was to spread the love of Overclocking, exposing gamers and enthusiasts at the show to both competitive Extreme Overclocking with LN2 and the more everyday style Ambient Overclocking that everyone can try with their PC at home. The HWBOT World Tour landed in Cape Town, South Africa last weekend, hosting OC Workshops and contests for gamers and enthusiasts attending Electronics & Gaming Expo (EGE), one of the largest gaming events in the country. As part of the event HWBOT also hosted the Cape Town 2017 Ambient contest, a contest where local Rookie and Novice class overclockers competed on Ambient cooled systems with prizes from our partners provided for the winners. At the end of three days of competitive ambient overclocking, our contest Champion is an Overclocker that uses the handle 21builds. The fifth Overclocking World Championship Qualifier contest of the year came to a close yesterday during the Cape Town 2017 leg of the HWBOT World Tour. Four of South Africa’s biggest hitters went head to head in a series of 1v1 matches with DrWeez, South Africa’s No.2 overclocker taking the win. Cape Town 2017 Event to Bring Overclocking Workshops and Extreme OC Contests to South African Gamers
July 12, 2017, Taipei, Taiwan – HWBOT, an organization regulating international Overclocking competitions and rankings, today officially announces its involvement at the Electronics & Gaming Expo (EGE) event in Cape Town, South Africa. HWBOT will host Overclocking Workshops for gamers and enthusiasts at the show, an Overclockers Gathering plus some seriously competitive Extreme Overclocking with the OCWC Cape Town 2017 Qualifier contest.
The HWBOT World Tour returns to Cape Town for the Electronics & Gaming Expo (EGE) on July 28th. As well as Overclocking workshops, the event will feature plenty of competitive overclocking in the form of an Ambient Cape Town 2017 contest and the Overclocking World Championship Cape Town 2017 Qualifier. Today we we bring you confirmation of the rules that will used for both of these contests, the hardware that will be involved and the general structure of things.
